Taalbelia Folk Alive is an initiative from the Taalbelia festival, dedicated to preserving India’s folk music heritage. It was created as a vital lifeline for folk artists who faced hardship, particularly during the pandemic, due to a lack of live performances. The core mission is to connect these artists with a global audience through a unique collaborative model of online “Weekend Jams.” These jams pair mainstream and folk artists, creating an exceptional fusion of music. The platform also features a digital direct-donation model, ensuring financial support goes straight to the musicians. This commitment embodies the motto: “Relive the vibe to save the folk,” helping a cultural legacy to thrive.
